Another of the never ending Colofornian distortions from the extreme anti-mormon destruction at all cost machine

Christ would have us clelbrate our christianity by becoming Christlike.

Colofornian’s brand of christianity seeks any distortion to discredit the faith in Jesus Christ of a full 12 million people .... because we don’t believe in the Nicene Creed and because we believe that God has again opened the heavens in communication with modern day prophets.

Instead of focusing on this hearsay trash generated by religious hatred ... maybe you should investigate the very real historical compromises which left Christianity forever changed from its biblical base during the Council of Nicea .... but alas,

... that would require Colofornian to remove the Beam from her own eye before she tried to remove the sliver from mine .... which, I suspect is a little too Christlike for her to attempt.

What kind of cheese do you want with that whine teppe?

Colofornian has cited MORMON sources on the subject.

Christ would have you repent of your paganism and attempts to earn your salvation by your own means.

No, it’s because JS, the adulterer, pedophile and thief claimed that Christ lied when He said His church would not leave us. Then claimed that he laid eyes upon God and Christ (contrary to God’s own words), yet refused to describe them as anything but “personages”.

Then went on to promote paganism, false gods, false prophets and other heretical beliefs all the while slandering all of Christianity as apostate.

False temple rituals rooted in Masonic temple rites or ripoffs of such. Baptizing the dead in contravention to established Biblical doctrine.

There’s many more, that’s just the appetizer teppe.

But as usual, you, like so many of your other so-called “Christlike mormons, come bearing nothing but ad hominems and slander towards the person posting information mormons don’t want to see the light of day.

Try debating the information posted for once, you might find in your research that what is posted is true. What then? Would you still cling to false trappings of mormonism in the face of the facts? Is the fear of finding out the lie so great that one would rather ignore the truth in order to maintain one’s ego?

Is the lure of eternal celestial marriage to a harem of wives (islam) so great that many men lose all perspective? Is the lure of becoming a god what keeps them in?

I think that if you followed your own advice and investigate mormonism, that you’d drop the SLC talking points and see how you’ve been lied to by the very people who you’ve entrusted your eternal salvation to.

...you should investigate the very real historical compromises...

Here is MORMONism's own creed:

Articles of Faith

The Articles of Faith outline 13 basic points of belief of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Prophet Joseph Smith first wrote them in a letter to John Wentworth, a newspaper editor,
in response to Mr. Wentworth's request to know what members of the Church believed.
They were subsequently published in Church periodicals.
They are now regarded as scripture and included in the Pearl of Great Price.

THE ARTICLES OF FAITH
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541

  1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
  2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
  3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
  4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
  6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
  7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
  8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
  9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
  10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
  11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
  12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
  13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Joseph Smith

because we don’t believe in the Nicene Creed

Give us a break, Tep. Smith tried his hand at completely torching worldwide Christianity by labeling us 100% AWOL and 100% embracement of supposedly "abominable" creeds, including the Nicene Creed.

Why don't we ever see a profession on your part that Smith called 100% of our creeds putrid -- the literal meaning of "abomination?"

You & other Lds ALWAYS seem to want to frame this as mere "disagreement." Smith never left it at simple "disagreement." He pretended to speak for the Mormon god when he sought to destroy all Christian creeds.

You are a disciple of Smith. Time to take responsibility for the way you have supported such a scorched-earth approach to taking on Christianity 180 years ago.

What's interesting to me is...you apparently have no idea what the context of that scripture is. It doesn't apply here. Not even close....

That said, I see people that don't know and/or study the bible, quote that scripture all the time to incorrectly "support" their case. So, you ain't alone. Which should give you no comfort unfortunately.

Do not make this thread "about" individual Freepers. That is also a form of "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.
