SALT LAKE CITY - Imprisoned polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs has released a series of so-called revelations in which he says a succession of natural disasters will strike the U.S.
The 55-year-old Jeffs was sentenced to life in prison this year for sexually assaulting two girls whom he took as wives when they were 12 and 14 years old. He released his apocalyptic predictions to the Utah attorney general's office on Monday.
Jeffs' apparent prophecies included tsunamis on the East Coast and in Seattle and earthquakes and volcanoes in Utah and Arizona. He also says that Idaho "shall be as a melting fire."
Attorney general's spokesman Paul Murphy says Jeffs is suggesting the calamities are God's revenge for putting the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints leader behind bars...

Here's the curious part: So the fLDS "prophet" "releases" his prophecies to the Utah attorney general's office. And then what? The Utah attorney general's office then acts as the Public Relations office for Jeffs as a "prophet?"
Really?
Utah's tax dollars at work?
Is religious cultism so infused in Utah that "public servants" just can't but help do all religious bidding for the fLDS and LDS alike?
This Jeffs guy seems like he has his act together. Totally sane.

I imagine things do look pretty apocalyptic in Jeffs’ little world.

Both maintained iron-tight control on the group. Smith tested the loyalty of his men by asking for their wives. Few balked. Orson Pratt did -- Mitt Romney's G-G grandfather. Heber C. Kimball did. But that's how Smith got his 14 yo. Kimball offered up his 14 yo daughter as a "trade."
