It has nothing to do with Constantine. The Divine Liturgy is a continuation of Jewish ritual.
Evangelical worship has nothing at all to do with early Christian worship.
Calling it pagan is an easy anti-intellectual cop out. Early Christians were liturgical just as the Jews were and are.
What passes for worship in Evangelical churches would have been completely foreign.
The problem with the Puritans and their successors is their idea of worship had more to do with an idealized fantasized early Christianity than reality.
