There’s a rather large Ukrainian Orthodox church in my area. Believe me, those people remember. There’s a 20 foot tall memorial to the dead in the middle of the parking lot.
They also sell some outstanding pierogi on Sunday after services. I need to stop by, pay my respects, and pick some up this weekend.
