People like you give FR a bad name.

Maybe if you let common sense lead you, and not J.Smith's outrageous writings, you'd be saved. The evidence of how awful his history was, his criminal actions, his child predator background, his over 40 wives, his inventing a planet called Kolob, his gross errors on some so-called missing Jewish tribe using anachronistic tools, plants, and draft animals, his frequently updated and changed stories about his visions, his embezzlement of ten of thousands of dollars from the citizens of many towns he was chased out of, his belief in hundreds of thousands of gods (GOLLY, I COULD GO ON ALL DAY . . . gotta' take a breath).

Believe what you want, but Hell is surely where this man is going to lead you. There's still time to accept the real and only God, Jesus.

Mormonism is a cult. Truth hurts.

You appear to be quite willing to allow the mormons to dance their merry way to hell, people like you give Christians and Christianity a bad name.

I am forever grateful to the many Christians here on FR who would not cower at the many accusations of hatred and bigotry cast at their feet by the “can’t we all get along” christians.

If not for their courage and persistence, I would not have left mormonism.

I like you Saundra, you have a million canned responses that look christian but the tone is not there.

Its dishonesty and that's not from God. Jesus was not married, he did not promote celestial marriages or " forever families", and temple rituals are not needed to gain entry to heaven.

My golly, where in my missive was I, for even a moment, in agreement with the LDS view of Joseph Smith. Was I wrong to point out the tons of problems with this cult? Or should I have said, "Well, maybe Jesus AND Joseph Smith will allow you to come into Heaven."

Quite seriously, this is a serious problem that the mormons have, and you think I shouldn't point it out to them? I'm totally confused by your reply.

If they don't reject this man's man-made religion with all its gross errors, they just might go to Heaven. Is that a problem?

It's sad that the Mormon believers are immune to criticism and never take an objective and critical view of this man's "dreamed up" religious rantings. I watch them on BYU television, and it weird to think that all those thousands of people in their churches and amphitheaters are so totally lost to Jesus.

One senses that all is well with them, and that there is nothing to critically view. Kinda' like, "Ya' know, we have all this invested, buildings, religious books, family traditions, etc., and, darn it, if those non-Mormons are right, our whole house of cards will collapse, and then where'd we be?"

Well, probably in Heaven someday if they did reject this grifter's religion. I pray for them quite a lot.

“together in HELL”

I have been condemned to hell so many times around here that it is just plain boring.

Please note: You are not authorized to condemn anyone to hell. That is a job reserved for my Savior Jesus Christ who is my Advocate with the Father. Also please note: My Savior does not condemn me; he accepts me and loves me; He suffered and died for me to save me from my sins and to make a way for me to live with Him forever.

The sweet video is about a little girl and her family with her Dad out of work and the struggles we all face during these perilous times. I am sorry that you apparently didn’t even take the time to watch the video. There is nothing controversial about it; no need for anti Mormon attacks.

Merry Christmas anyway.

Saundra, I want you to know I am praying on a daily basis for the Lord to open your eyes to see that Mormonism isn’t of Christ. Many years ago, the man I was going to marry converted to Mormonism. He tried and tried to convert me but I knew the first time hearing about the “milk”, it was not biblical and it physically made me sick. I was repulsed. Please listen to all these people here on FR. They speak truth! Praying for you, Saundra!

Mormons are immune to any and all criticisms, no matter how helpful those criticisms are.

Then plod along . . . reject our Savior for Joseph Smith's rantings . . . and let him lead you to (you know where). Too bad you put Christmas and Mormon in the same phrase . . .

They are totally incompatible! Kinda' gives our Christmas a black eye!

I will have to turn the other cheek when you say stuff like that about my Savior whom I love with all my heart.

Not sure what you mean . . . do you mean that I said that Jesus is NOT your savior, or that Joseph Smith is not your savior . . . kinda' confusing retort.

In the resurrection whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife. Jesus said to them, "Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God?" For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. (Mark 12:23-25)

There is no marriage of individual believers in heaven. Nor do their earthly marriages, as the above account by Jesus clearly teaches, carry over into heaven. They will be like the angels who do not procreate. The only marriage in heaven is the marriage of Christ and his bride.

“I believe God loves me and does me good, and everything that happens happens for my own good, or the good of someone else (even when I can’t see it).”

All things work toward GOD's glory not any persons good. Situations and circumstances give us the oportunity to give glory to God. Example if you were killed that would not necessarily be toward your good but if your organs were donated to someone else that would be a glory to God that the other person was able to live.

Let's hope that these threads about Mormonism reaches someone who is ready to hear them.
