No I am not, but I study the Bible, especially the old testament. The Hebrews did not believe in original sin at all. Believing instead that each child was born pure, and then fell victim to the flesh, which must be overcome. The idea of sin being "genetic" is against the orthodox Jews. Since Yeshua was a Jew, would he have gone against this also? As a matter of fact, Jesus taught that our spirits existed before life as humans. Since he was the author of the Old Testament. I believe it is Esau that God hated before he was born, and Jacob that was loved.

Writings by "church fathers" such as those pushing the orthodoxy of Catholicism hold no sway as far as I am concerned. The only thing that matters is the "Word".
