During election cycles, we get the obligatory Mormon threads, and America under attack gets the occasional Islam threads.
Catholics seem obsessed with promoting and arguing their positions continually, and those threads always ask or propose positions that non-Catholic believers could easily take a stand against.
I surmise the Catholics in Jim's living room love a fight .. a Crusade, if you will ... and I have learned over the years, non reaction angers you the most.

Most of what Evangelicals believe about Catholicism is rooted in legend and deliberate misconceptions, which I formerly held myself.
I enjoy having a dialog with educated people who disagree, but the trash that gets thrown around here no matter how many times Catholics try setting the record straight is downright disgusting.
Perhaps they ought to look in the mirror and look at the vile stuff that atheists throw at them to get just a bit of an idea of how their disrespectful and hateful attacks on Catholics feels.
