And don’t forget that time in scripture where a dead man was raised by the relics of that prophet ( Elishas bones ). Or Saul upon being annointed by Samuel being told to go to the tomb / relics of Rachel ( centuries after her death ) where a sign would be performed showing his annointing was to be believed.
And don’t forget that apparation of Moses that was believed by Peter and the other two disciples on the mountain at the transfiguration. All of the scripture then in existence said Moses was dead. It was only from tradition that there is any indication he was assumed, though that is contradicted by other tradition that said he was still dead. It is clear the disciples had no qualms with apparitions.
And my goodness. Bowing toward images ? Has anyone ever pondered the ark of the covenant ? Carved angels and the entire room with embroidered angels on the fabric and later in Solomons temple with large carved angels surrounding it. It was to these “images” representing heaven that all of Israel including the priests bowed when praying.
And all of the above is using the portion of the Bible still accepted by protestants.
My goodness why the Church is almost as “unbiblical” as Judaism, Christ and the Apostles. /sarc
