That not just our poets but the common man can find a spark of divinity in a blade of grass or in a faithful dog sets us apart. Christianity allows for the joyous celebration of life and can be a very humble religion. The words of carpenters and fishermen guide it. That we can joke, discuss serious things and disagree at the same time is something Americans do very well. So yes that an old medal can cure a dog that means everything to struggling child is wonderful.
