She became the Mother of God, in which work so many and such great good things are bestowed on her as pass man’s understanding. For on this there follows all honor, all blessedness, and her unique place in the whole of mankind, among which she has no equal, namely, that she had a child by the Father in heaven, and such a Child . . . Hence men have crowded all her glory into a single word, calling her the Mother of God . . . None can say of her nor announce to her greater things, even though he had as many tongues as the earth possesses flowers and blades of grass: the sky, stars; and the sea, grains of sand. It needs to be pondered in the heart what it means to be the Mother of God.

Great words from the HOLY GHOST through Mary.
She was made by GOD for this very specific reason.
Yet, her humility and obedience is what very few understand. This is what is great about her and many other women in the BIBLE!
She, like Elisabeth, who had a miraculous birth. The birth of John the baptist.
THey followed, believed, received, and lived. AMEN!
I am always floored by the faith in the women in the BIBLE from OT to NT! But there is a reason that GOD put the gems of faith in certain areas that people wouldn’t look. Because HE is a GOD of the heart, not of the ego or glamour. This is made to humble us and treat one another the same. As said here:
1 CORINTHIANS 1:27-31
27 No, God chose those who by human standards are fools to shame the wise; he chose those who by human standards are weak to shame the strong,
28 those who by human standards are common and contemptible — indeed those who count for nothing — to reduce to nothing all those that do count for something,
29 so that no human being might feel boastful before God.
30 It is by him that you exist in Christ Jesus, who for us was made wisdom from God, and saving justice and holiness and redemption.
31 As scripture says: If anyone wants to boast, let him boast of the Lord.
Women are looked down upon through out history. So, it makes sense that GOD ( according to the passage before and how HE picks alot of HIS messengers and prophets) that HE would leave a “ gem “ of faith in what people look down on. AMAZING!
So, when people search for more wisdom and faith, GOD will use the thing they would never listen to for the answer. This tests to see if we are truly humble and love HIM. Isaiah, Ezekial, Moses, Job and so many others were tested in this kind of way.
Though some put these women and men in places on this earth that even they wouldnt agree with. Even they wouldnt care of their position on this earth that people put them in. As even Mary says, “ low estate”; she knows her place. They would not want to be glorified. Which makes them even more amazing.
There is a reason Mary and many others in the BIBLE know why they are not worthy. Which is what makes them beyond amazing. They just worshipped GOD. Amazing.
But It’s okay to lift all them up. As they would want all of us to lift one another up. This should be the way of the believer. A believer should love GOD with all their heart and love one another. So, to lift these people up is ok, as long as we dont worship them above GOD at all; or even think of them as the same as GOD.
For the women, we know the praise of women in faith will come. It is said in the OT and in the NT. Mary knew she would be praised because of the faith bestowed upon her by GOD and then her confirmation by the angel. This advice about women was given to us in the OT first.
PROVERBS 31:30
30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty empty; the woman who fears Yahweh is the one to praise.
Luke 1:35-48
35 The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God.
36 And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month,
37 for nothing is impossible to God.’
38 Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ And the angel left her.
39 Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah.
40 She went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth.
41 Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
42 She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
43 Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord?
44 Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy.
45 Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’
46 And Mary said: My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord

48 because he has looked upon the humiliation of his servant. Yes, from now onwards all generations will call me blessed,
Very amazing story of two women made and chosen by GOD. Elisabeth was blameless and GOD-fearing. She was made to not have children. But then GOD gave her John the baptist. And Mary was a virgin and steadfast as well and made for JESUS!
Mary admits shows her hesitance at the angels statment, and the angel comforts her by telling her that Elisabeth was approached as well. But they both submit and that is something to be admired and taken in our own faith. We can also admire the beautiful characteristics of faith in all the prophets, prophetesses, and just believers in the BIBLE! AMEN!
GOD used me to help a bible study woman about women in the BIBLE! She actually thought there wasnt alot about women in the BIBLE!
But once we read the full Bible and take notes on it. Same like we do in school for a grade. But this is a little different, as this is the grade of life ( so we should be more serious).
SO, once we read the full bible and take notes ( not just read it), then, we find more than what we might have been taught by others or lead to see. But, there is a serious price to pay for knowing all this. As it says in the OT about wisdom. Which I realize now why many dont read the full bible and take notes. Which also has me realize why Jesus says, “ Many are called but few are chosen”. Or that many believe but are afraid. Wisdom in the spirit is very unique on this earth.
There is a lot to be said about how women are used in the BIBLE! But I can do many posts on that one.
GOD had me sit in the house for months making notes about them. Really amazing.
The woman at the well is the most inspiring for me.
Of course no where near Jesus.
But for a human standards, she is very inspiring.
Giving all she had for faith? Very few in the BIBLE did that without question and even today.
Most have all things taken from them, and then follow.
Or Jesus came, told them to follow HIM, and then they did. Or an angel came and got them and then they followed.
For her it was just faith.
And Jesus said that she would be remembered for this.
Amen. WOW!
