I well understand the thrust of your quote. It goes to the hypocrisy of those who engage in public displays of prayer for the approval of others. He, however, is professing his faith bravely in the face of general opprobrium.
I'm impressed with his observance. I guess if he were doing some inane dance or spiking the ball or doing chest butts with his teammates, no one would have a problem with that.
He came to term through the faith of his mother against the advice of a corps of physicians and he dedicates his life to the Lord. He has served, and continues to serve, at missions overseas in far lands. If he chooses to express his faith publicly, good on him! Most of the celebrities in today's society are trashing our Christian heritage vigorously on a regular basis.
He's a welcome relief from guys like Roethlisberger and Brady whose sexual escapades are perfunctorily noted in the news with little or no comment - they are the ones touted by the media and they are given passes for their transgressions.
He is doing God's work in a public forum. Thank the Lord for Tom Tebow!

I disagree...I think as a loving Father, God reveals Himself in a big way visual way at times. I am a “tired” Christian homeschooling mom trying to raise teens up in an ungodly world that will smack you down at every turn and keeps my husband away from home working long hours. My husband watched the game tonight and called me in during overtime. I was able to see a Godly Christian homeschooled young man with God given talent pull off a spectacular win and then give glory to God. It gives me energy and peace to soldier on. To see how God works through a faithful young man gives me encouragement that God is VERY near and hears us. I am just so excited for his mom and dad.

People can talk all they want about this, but Tebow showed one thing today. He didn’t play like a guy who was scared. There was a shot of him on the sidelines during the Steeler’s drive in the 4th quarter. Tebow looked serene while other players appeared to have their hearts jumping into their throats.
From looking at that, it is his faith that helps Tebow deal with the stress of playing rather than anything God does for him. People seem to think he’s praying for God’s miracles on the field rather than God’s grace.

Mr. Tebow is thankful for his relationship with his savior. That is all.
The ones who do not have that are jealous as Satan cannot provide love.

Do you think they would be doing the same if he was a Muslim? We all know the answer...
All the same atheist hypocrites who are trashing Tebow would be breaking their arms patting themselves on the back and congratulating any openly Muslim football star gushing over how 'inclusive' the NFL is of religious diversity. Well, actually, the NFL is not tolerant of religious diversity at all - these hypocrites are trashing Tebow for his heartfelt Christianity. What a pack of worthless anti- Western Effwits.

Tebow’s most important trait is his leadership, he transformed the team’s culture. Just look how this team was at 1-4, the fourth loss was to San Diego, but Tebow almost brought them all the way back, that was the turning point of the season, the next game was the Miami game, and we all know what happened from there.

Winning in the playoffs has sapped most of the arguments against Tebow of their strength. You’re definitely fighting an uphill battle if you’re arguing that he ‘s not fit to play in the NFL just because his style is unorthodox, which is what your argument would amount to.

El Rushbo is going to be unhappy tomorrow! And he needs to eat some major crow about saying that the Broncos offense wouldn’t have much of a chance against his beloved Steelers defense. HA!
