Christian Quarterback's Stats Evoke Bible Verse

DENVER - Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has accidentally, but perhaps providentially, made John 3:16 the most searched item on Google.

Not only did Tebow -- the outspoken son of Christian missionaries -- produce an upset victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers with his touchdown pass in overtime, but that pass left him with 316 yards. He averaged 31.6 yards per toss, and CBS's TV rating peaked at 31.6 during the game.

All those 3-16s had flocks of fans searching the Internet, where they found the Bible verse where Jesus says: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life."

In college, Tebow sometimes painted John 3:16 in the eye black on his face. But on Sunday, the numbers preached for themselves.

Your comment reminds of why a Korean woman converted in the 1990's.

The Korean woman had doubts about Christianity.

But then she ran into a Christian from India.

The Christian was from the part of India (Southwest Coast) that the Apostle Thomas converted 2000 years ago (the seven churches that Apostle Thomas started are still in existence today).

When the man from India said he was a Saint Thomas Christian, the Korean woman was in disbelief.

Then the Korean woman remembered that the Apostle Thomas was known in the Gospels as a doubter.

She came to realize that her doubts about Christianity was similar to the doubts of the Apostle Thomas that Jesus had risen from the dead.

The Korean woman was converted to Christianity on account of her encounter with the Saint Thomas Christian.

If one gets a chance to talk to a Saint Thomas Christian, one might find it interesting.

They had very little contact with the rest of Christianity over the past 2000 years. And yet the faith survived in India such that there are 7 churches that have a history of 2000 years.

Such is the power of faith. This made her r

These people who might become interested need our prayers.

The Parable of the Seed [Matthew 13:3-43, Mark 4:3-20, and Luke 8:5-15].

Though people may today embrace things, it may be like the seed that landed on rocky ground or the seed that had weeds grow up amongst the good seed.

We must pray that if people take interest that they will grow strong roots, and learn to avoid evil.
