Believing that a child should have two parents and FORCING a woman to give her child away are two completely different things. One is good, the other is abhorrent. Using a position of power and trust, manipulating a vulnerable single parent with the threat of excommunication/shunning is antithetical to family values. I suspect that when the light of day is shined on mormon values, they will no longer be able to pretend to be “Christian.”
Entreating a single pregnant woman to put her baby up for adoption and forcing a woman to surrender a child after divorce are also two completely different things.
