After we are saved by faith in Christ Jesus we are then given good works to perform - but these works have nothing to do in regards to our salvation. Good work are not the cause of our salvation.

Rather, as we read in Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

God ordained good works that we should walk in them, which is our reasonable service out of the love we have for Him. I hope that helps to clarify.

Why do you have to be ‘saved’ by J-sus first? Clearly you and I have very different views of salvation,as I put my faith in G-d alone. No matter who you are,it’s imortant to G-d that you do ‘good works’. We are on earth to do His work,in the sense that we are his partners in making this world a better place. Tikkun Olam,or “repairing the world”.

All righteous people,Jew or Gentile, have a place in the World-to-Come.
