It's a matter of truth...and the major barrier to Unity is Truth and always has been. Truth by it's nature is EXclusive NOT INclusive and will always divide...it's not intended to unite as many religions are headed today...because truth is divisive.
TRUTH MUST ALWAYS COME BEFORE UNITY!....Unity before truth leads to deception and apostasy. It is far better to be divided by truth then united in error. Whenever someone makes a truth statement about anything by implication they automatically exclude all contrary opinions from being equally true...therefore a line is drawn in the sand where there cannot be unity.
Example: "The truth is God is Yahweh"....."The truth is God is Allah".
Jesus was divisive as He is the truth:

....Even when Paul spoke of Christ the people were divided about their opinion of Him. Some sided with the Jews, some with the apostles.
You cannot unite the world in any sense until it has been united spiritually. ..and since there are only two Spiritual Kingdoms..(Kingdom of Light...Kingdom of Darkness), mixing these cannot truly occur by the Interfaith Dialogues occurring now...rather what will develope from these is a completely false religion and as mention prior it is mixing truth with lies....such as the Mormon Church has done since it's inception...and since identified as such it WILL be inclusive with the one world religion as it develops...of which the Mormon Church is and will be a part of.
Interfaith Dialogue for Mormons seeks to mix truth with lies... But because the UN and other World leaders are pushing for Unity...and since truth divides, the only solution is to "pretend" there is no such thing as "Absolute Truth"...rather there's your truth and my truth...so contradictory opinions are both right....which is a lie.
The Christ of Mormonism is not the Christian Christ..many over the centuries have used His name to qualify their teachings as the Mormons have. Christianity does not accept Mormonism because they have identified the False Christ of Mormonism for what it is..a counterfeit Christ. As well their leadership have proclaimed the Jesus they serve is not the same as the Jesus which Protestants and other Christian denominations serve.

Of course, these numbers are always self-reported Jeff, and NEVER verified. They count people who are members who never attend anymore. They count people until age 100 who are dead.

The BoM contains scrambled up bible verses and a fanciful fictional story about pre-Columbian America.
There are NO exclusively MORMON doctrines to be found in it; therefore your 'prayer' as to the 'truthfullness' of it will be ambiguous at best.
The REAL set of DOCTRINES of MORMONism come from OTHER MORMON 'scripture' that SLC does NOT make readily available to the potential 'convert'.
I hear many people trying to distinguish “radical Islam” from “Islam” as if there is a difference. Muslims are called Muslim because they identify with the doctrines of Islam. There is not a “radical Islam”. Islam is radical. There are Muslims who do a good job of deceiving the infidel by white-washing most of the evil doctrine of Islam. I’ve read the post-9/11 writings and listened to MP3 of Mormons, including lectures of academics at BYU in their Middle Eastern Studies curriculum. They apologetically relate with and defend Islam - still. They are enamored by the persecution they share, the latter day prophet concept, the “new holy books” they have in common, and perhaps, their shared preference for multiple wives, despite the forced ban a century ago. Any religion that identifies with Islam shares in the evils of Islam and cannot be trusted or condoned.
As I stated, my own opinion, and shared by most LDS people I know, is that we cannot afford to “nation-build” Islamic nations. If we fight them, we MUST go in with absolute overwhelming force and destroy not only the jihadists camps and forces, but anyone who gives them support and sanctuary...meaning the populations that do so...just like we did with in Germany with the Nazis.
If there are those who would fight with us, then they better separate themselves clearly from the enemy and fight the enemy just as hard...and there are those that do.
But trying to imply that somehow Romney or the LDS are going to placate and be sympathetic to these enemies is simply not true.

It is unfortunate, and a discredit to the LDS church, that its leaders spoke out of ignorance about Islam and Muhammad before 9/11. I left the LDS church several years ago in great part due to their ignorance about Islam and their insistence on praising their satanic doctrine and their intolerant, terrorist warrior prophet Muhammad.
