Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many."? Because I got the impression from your comments to Smvoice that you didn't believe Christ's sacrifice was in the past, that he died ONCE for all and that that sacrifice was retroactive, meaning it is not repeated over and over again as the Old Testament priests had to do but is effective for all sins, past, present and future.
