There are books about cutting, anorexia, rape, all types of sex. All under the guise of trying to “relate” or “understand”. It’s kind of like the exploitation movies of yesteryear that purported to show “shocking” material as a public service.
I never understood the opening chapters of Huxley’s “Brave New World” where children are encouraged to express their sexuality from a very young age.
Finally, it struck me the other day - it’s a way to destroy their souls.
Healthy maturation is a process of learning to discern. It is the JOB of good parents and a God-fearing society to teach what is good and beneficial AND to show why other things are bad and detrimental for the growing soul. That is how a child is ‘raised up in the way that they should go.’ Evil seeks to shove temptations at children BEFORE they have learned to discern. Sadly, the society prevalent now in America lacks the ‘raising the child up in the way that they should go’ and has fallen to the wave of bread and circuses. The parents are not good and the society is no longer God-fearing.
