Of course we believe in a life hereafter! So, that makes us a cult in your eyes? Mote - log!

Apparently, you didn't read my qualifier in posts #2 & #3: I said: Its doctrine need not be conventional—but it SHOULD BE KNOWABLE TO OUTSIDERS. Absent those qualities, an unorthodox religion can descend into something darker.

Let's apply this descent "into something darker" that the Mormon church has done with the example you give -- the life hereafter!

Mormons do this in numerous ways. I'll outline four ways...the "4th way" will be the next post:
(a) They claim that the only ones who get to be reconciled forever with Heavenly Father are married temple Mormons. Not even just "any" Mormon -- but only those with temple recommends & only those who are married. The worse thing about this is that Mormons say there are two other "spheres of heaven" -- but nobody in them is reconciled to live with Heavenly Father forever. What kind of a "heaven" have the Mormons created which has no Heavenly Father in it for most people???

(b) Nobody is "split up" for a while post-death...everybody goes to the same "spirit world"...Hitler...bin Laden...wind up in the same spirit world as everybody else...See from official Lds church magazine, Liahona, an explanation: The Spirit World, Our Next Home(The OTHER World Series: Mormon beliefs beyond this world)...And since Mormons have "baptized by proxy" both Hitler and Anne Frank, they both get the "opportunity" to accept the Mormon "gospel" and move in together in the lowest of three "degrees" of "salvation"

(c) Mormons claim that temple Mormons can become grown-up "gods" -- thereby creating competing gods to their own...so much for Mormons advocating that God receive ALL worship, adoration, prayer, etc.

Let me explain in one more time, you sanctimonous moron!

I am not a Mormon!

I am aLutheran, trying to be a Christian!

I have been a Freemason for nearly 40 years and have had no conflict between that fraternal organization and my Christian Religion.

End of statement. End of conversation.
