I won't add to the Compost's ad revenue by clicking on the link but I'll bet everything I own that the article goes on to explain why this “renaissance” is just more proof of the GOP’s medieval, regressive, racist, homophobic nature.

Well, we have the anti-Mormon contingent here, I won’t be surprised if there will soon be an anti-Catholic contingent. (Whew, good thing Eric Cantor’s not running for Pres.)

Hmm...

My thoughts of "60 in 2012" can the Catholic Vote make it happen?

See my post 9, my gut feel the Catholic Vote would be big this year is spot on...

Schumer and Emanuel stole the House and Senate with them in 06' picking off predominately Catholic Districts, turn about will be fair play this year...

Not to mention that a majority of the Supreme Court is Catholic.
However, I don't thing that the particular branch of Christianity is that significant. They may not be in the same pew, but they are in the same church. The Christian Church. Keep in mind that there are also many democrat's such as Pelosi that claim to be Catholics.
I leave it to the ministers to try to parse verses to try to advance their particular branch.

Sadly (I say this as a Catholic myself) many Catholics are quite liberal. Many are descended from the waves of immigrants that came in the late 1800/early 1900's, and culturally lean towards the democrats because that what their families have done since they came to America.

But it seems that some Catholics are actually taking time to ead church teachings and realize how evil the rat party is. Hopefully that trend will expand.

I wouldn’t count on it. I left my last church because I was sick of listening to the liberal priest spewing his opinions as church doctrine. Half the cars in the parking lot on Sunday had Obama the baby killer stickers on them. I did not understand that at all. How could anyone call themselves a true catholic and vote for him?

Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), .... — are all Catholic

Assumes facts not in evidence.

Marco Rubio, the 'Catholic' senator-elect from Florida, attends and 'donates thousands' to a hardline Protestant church

Somebody needs to stick a microphone in Rubio's face and get to the bottom of just exactly what faith he now practices.
