For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada unveils a time when Mexican Christians, in the pursuit of religious freedom, had to choose between their faith and their lives.

A new major motion picture, For Greater Glory, tells the epic, untold story of the Cristero War and a nation’s quest for religious liberty

Gen. Enrique Gorostieta Velarde (Andy Garcia) leads the Cristeros into battle in the new film For Greater Glory, which opens June 1 and tells the true story of the Cristero War in Mexico in the 1920s.

Actor Andy Garcia sits astride a black horse amid acres of scrub brush beneath a blue sky in Durango, Mexico. He is playing Enrique Gorostieta Velarde, a seasoned Mexican general, before a pivotal battle. The general is in the process of inspecting his troops, an army on horseback dressed in sombreros and with bandoliers of ammunition strapped across their chests.

Movie opens June 1 in the United States. This movie will be showing in Mexico as well as other countries around the world.

In this article, there is a section on how Margaret Sanger praised the Klu Klux Klan for their persecution of Catholics and Jews.

Additionally, the article mentions Jesuit Father Wilfrid Parsons, in the 1920's an author of America Magazine. He wrote the book Mexican Martyrdom, detailing aspects of the Mexican persecution of Catholics in the 1920s and 1930s.

There may be 1000's of Klu Klux Klan members shown in the picture -- it is hard to judge. This is on page 20 at the top of the page for the May 2012 edition of Columbia Magazine

The battle cry of those fighting for Religious Freedom in Mexico in the 1920s and 1930s was:

¡Viva Cristo Rey!

Maybe with the oppression by the Obama Administration against Catholics, this battle cry should be revived!

He could have a big, swoopy mustache, like Diego Velasquez. The Spanish say (in Spanish, of course), “A woman with a mustache doesn’t need a dowry.” I think it implies that the correlation of higher testosterone levels with facial hair makes the mujer con bigote more passionate!
