I don’t want to comment on the content above, as I think it speaks for itself.
What I do want to ask is whether or not Obama’s coming out on this (so to speak)makes an anthill’s bit of difference.
Those that are opposed to gay marriage are not going to change their minds because of it. And those in favor are not going to give him any more votes (for the most part they already have them.)
This whole thing is a smoke screen and a way for him to get some money this weekend.
Its too early in the process for many of the average shmoe’s out there to even remember this come November.
Again, not to dismiss your original point. But I think he will burn on this type of stuff as he swings far to the left.
I remember back in the 80’s we had a high school teacher in our small town scaring the kids about homosexuals.
He was saying stuff like “You ever heard of a bar in Minneapolis called the Gay 90’s before? Nope? Well, ask your mom and dad. They’ll know what it is. That’s not close enough home for you? Well read the news about the men kicked out of the bar down at Mettlers for dancing with each other. That close enough home for ya? Huh?”
