What is an “Empowerment Temple”? What god do they worship?
I visited the site, and got a few come-on sermons from the minister, but still can’t make it out. Evidently a cross between black empowerment and . . . technology?

What is an “Empowerment Temple”?That's where you find a multi-story house in a declining neighborhood, and call it a church. You get tax relief, and government grants.

From what I can tell at the pastor's bio on Wiki, it's an African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) church, which I believe is the largest black denomination.
