I read the article posted, including that Mormons do not accept many of these quotes as true tenets of their faith, but then there is a long explanation of how they must be attributed to Mormonism nonetheless.

Considering the FACT that MORMOINism TAUGHT these 'things' and EMBRACED them and have NEVER repudiated or denied them; what else is a logical thinking person to conclude?

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Kirtland, Ohio, February 27, 1833. HC 1: 327–329. As a consequence of the early brethren using tobacco in their meetings, the Prophet was led to ponder upon the matter; consequently he inquired of the Lord concerning it. This revelation, known as the Word of Wisdom, was the result. The first three verses were originally written as an inspired introduction and description by the Prophet.

 

1–9, Use of wine, strong drinks, tobacco, and hot drinks proscribed; 10–17, Herbs, fruits, flesh, and grain are ordained for the use of man and of animals; 18–21, Obedience to gospel law, including the Word of Wisdom, brings temporal and spiritual blessings.

 

  1 A ^aWord OF Wisdom, for the benefit of the council of high priests, assembled in Kirtland, and the church, and also the saints in Zion—

IF we are to hold everyone accountable for the earliest writings of their religion, I respectfully suggest that a Jew, Catholic or Mormon can find serious flaws in the writings and behavior of Martin Luther.

Further that you are intolerant as regards Mormonism. Furter, that Mormonism is not a serious threat to traditional christianity. Finally, that the discussion is really intolerance and paranoia wrapped in a candy coating of theological discourse. The average Catholic has much more to fear or resent in protestantism and that ought to be obvious from even the shallowest knowledge of history and theology. That is, IF one decides to live a life worrying about the orthodoxy of others, rather than in celebration of American religious freedom. I choose to value religious freedom.

So, what is the point of writing about Mormon theology?

The point is to counter the anti-Christian flood of mormon propaganda spread over the world by 52,000 missionaries, and countless mormon websites, radio and TV ads attempting to pull souls away from Christianity into the mormon heresy.

After watching Romney's support of abortion and his nasty, dirty tearing down of the other republican candidates I do not agree that he is a "moral" man.
