You still need an authoritative interpretation of Holy Scripture. Without this you have each person’s authority - and differences.

Whether you are Catholic or not, the Church as this authority solves the logical problem left by this article.

We have authoritative interpretation, and have had it for hundreds and hundreds of years.

We also have the Holy Spirit living in us (those of us who receive Him) to help us understand His Word. As the Bible says, now that Jesus is risen and has sent His Holy Spirit, we no longer need any man to teach us or to intercede between us and the Lord, because Jesus is the only mediator between God and man—no man on earth has the ability to fill that role.
