The United States of Europe?
Bible Prophecy Blog ^ | 6/24/2012 | Michael G. Mickey

As a student of bible prophecy and someone who has dedicated an enormous amount of time to examining current events through the lens of bible prophecy (and sharing my findings with others), there have been a number of moments when my jaw has figuratively hit the floor as a result of a headline from the news of our world today. Today is one of those days! The headline that made my teeth rattle? It's this: 10 countries for a United States of Europe!

Those of you who have been following along with me for any amount of time know my expectation has been we would see the European Union, which I believe to be the revived Roman empire foreseen by the prophet Daniel (or a forerunner thereof), move into position to play a prominent role in end times affairs. This is particularly true where the rise of the prophesied Antichrist and the establishment of his global kingdom/dictatorship to come is concerned.

Could the headline above be demonstrative that the events I've been encouraging people to keep watch for are coming into view on the prophetic horizon more visibly than ever before? Time will tell, but current events hold potential for things to head precisely that direction.

Interesting! I like to read European papers on-line and I am convinced the continent is primed for the rise of Anti Christ. Jesus is coming back soon!

Well, it actually doesn’t talk about a 10 member state, it’s just foreign ministers from 10 states were part of the study group that presented their findings to the EU. Also, at least two of those states can’t even remotely be considered to be former parts of the Roman Empire.

There are a number of mini-states in Europe that are usually not considered by the folks after that 10 state empire.

First, there's Brittany ~ today considered part of France by most uninformed people, but actually still a thriving national consciousness ~ and over the last 1.5 millenia it has actually provided the home for the richest man in the world, and a century later, the richest woman in the world.

They didn't get that way being nice to people and are prepared to reassert themselves at any moment.

Then there's Burgundy ~ what? Burgundy. The Burgundians captured Jean d'arc and handed her over to the Brits for burning. Speaking of the Brits they have their own little empire of states that could be easily recognized.

PIedmont could come back, and The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, and so on almost infinitum.

10 ministers does not make an empire!

Yup, it’s much ado about nothing, at least at this point.

This “study group for the future” was initiated by Germany's Guido Westerwelle, born 27 December 1961. He is a German liberal politician, who, since 28 October 2009, has served as the Foreign Minister in the second cabinet of Chancellor Angela Merkel, and who was Vice Chancellor of Germany from 2009 to 2011. He is the first openly gay person to hold either of those positions. He has been the chairman of the Free Democratic Party of Germany (FDP) since May 2001, but stepped down in 2011. A lawyer by profession, he has been a member of the Bundestag since 1996.

A gay homosexual German lawyer ... whodda EVER thunk to see one of these creatures in the CABINET of a German Chancellor?

Boogieman is correct. No parts of Denmark or Poland were part of the Roman Empire.

Also, no Italian or Pole or Belgian or Dane would really countenance being in a Greater Germany...

Well, there are a lot of parts of France that should break away -- but the French have a strong centralised state -- as opposed to Germany which has a federal state

Have you read Norman Davies "Vanished Kingdoms"?

The United States of Europe?

Couldn’t be further off the mark if you tried.

For the 10 nations that align against Israel see: Psalm 83

Notice not one ‘tribe’ is from Europe. (Google Amman seven mountains)

And while you were looking in the incorrect corner of the world very interesting things are going on in the Muslim world.

Such as: Daniel 7
8 “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

19 “Then I wanted to know the meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. 20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

Last year (2011) the third horn/king was uprooted.

3. Muammar al-Gaddafi
2. Hosni Mubarak
1. Saddam Hussein

And uprooted is the perfect word because these three had nearly 100 years of combined rule in the Muslim world.

The anti-Christ is a Muslim

Daniel 11
37 He shall give no heed to the gods of his fathers, [Chemosh, Molech] or to the one beloved by women; [Ashtoreth] he shall not give heed to any other god, for he shall magnify himself above all.

38 He shall honor the god of fortresses instead of these; [Allah] a god whom his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 He shall deal with the strongest fortresses by the help of a foreign god; [Allah] those who acknowledge him he shall magnify with honor. He shall make them rulers over many and shall divide the land for a price.

As in…

2 Kings 23
13 The king also desecrated the high places that were east of Jerusalem on the south of the Hill of Corruption--the ones Solomon king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the vile goddess of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the vile god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the people of Ammon.

It’s a family feud, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah on down to David and to Yeshua.
Abram, Ishmael, on down to Muhammad and on to…

And there’s Lots more!
