Woman Says 'Exorcist' Priest Abused Her [Euteneuer]

ARLINGTON, Va. (CN) - A Roman Catholic priest "kissed (a woman) on all parts of her body" during a so-called "exorcism" session, and "frequently explained full, passionate kisses as 'blowing the Holy Spirit into' her," the woman claims in court.

Jane Doe sued the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, its Bishop Paul Loverde - who is not the priest accused of the abuse - and Human Life International and the HLI Endowment Inc., of Charlottesville, in Arlington County Court.

Doe claims she was sexually abused repeatedly by her "exorcist," Thomas J. Euteneur, who was president of Human Life International and the HLI Endowment; Euteneur, however, is not named as an individual defendant.

Doe claims that Euteneur, a Roman Catholic priest, offers "'spiritual deliverance' and the performance of the rite of exorcism," and did it "with the knowledge and consent of the Diocese and the Most Rev. Paul S. Loverde. ... On at least one previous occasion, the Diocese and Bishop Loverde gave permission to Euteneur to conduct an exorcism within the Diocese."

Doe claims that the defendants know that exorcism could be "potentially dangerous to the participants." She says: "The defendants knew that a basic principle in the administration of an exorcism is that the priest should never act alone, and that he should always be accompanied by a support team who have been duly prepared to assist him."

Doe says that her relationship with Euteneur began on Feb. 28, 2008, when she signed "a document entitled 'Agreement for spiritual help.' Among many other things, the document defines 'deliverance' as 'the application of the spiritual resources of the Church to persons with demonic infestation in order to liberate them from the influence of unclean spirits.'"

Euteneur became her "deliverance minister," and "The aforementioned documents included....

She admitted she’s demon possessed when she agreed to the exorcism. So if the exorcism failed the demons are still in charge and everyone knows you can’t trust a demon. (humor)

“Church tradition doesn’t supersede the Bible.”

Yeah sure. Except that the dogma is supreme, and if anything in Scripture appears to conflict with that, no matter how plain the language of Scripture is, then Scripture must be “interpreted” so as to comply with the dogma.

My take is that if it did happen and wrong as it was the relationship was consensual and she just sees a chance to get big bucks from the Church. I also doubt that this happened at HLI offices.

Three years to claim sexual assault? GMAB.

You are free to believe this story or not. What is known is that we are dealing with significantly troubled people and that there was enough evidence that the woman was possessed by the Father of all Lies to warrant an exorcism. It looks like it wasn’t completely successful.

I almost hate to tell you this but the priest wasn't performing an exorcism...

In fact, someone who uses the name of Christianity to sexually assault someone else may have demons of his/her own...

Since neither you or I was present neither of us knows for sure what took place. That being said you will believe what you choose to believe what is unknown and unknowable. What a perverse application of the concept of faith.

Peace be with you.

"frequently explained full, passionate kisses as 'blowing the Holy Spirit into' her,"

Doe said, "This is worse than the time I was scammed by that door-to-door gynecologist."

three points:

One: those asking for “exorcism” are often mentally ill. Mentally ill people often accuse others of abuse.

Two: A priest does not do an “exorcism” alone. He does it after the psychiatrists check out the patient, and the bishop approves. The prayers are done with a group of believers present, not by the priest alone, and usually a doctor is present too. So did they all “abuse” her?

three: Kaching!

"three points:"

Actually four points. We cannot discount an actual possession in which a demon is present within the woman, one intent on harming the Church and its clergy.

The correct spelling of his name is Thomas Euteneuer. This became public in 2010; his diocese, Palm Beach, Florida suspended him.

But she did not put a stop to it, she obviously got the pleasure from it before she called the cops.

You said it, if it was consensual, and if she never had a knife to her throat or some other kind of threat it must have been consensual.

true, the demon could be speaking through the woman.

But greed (false charges), delusion and fake memories are a lot more common than demon possession, and I don’t have a lot of experience with the demon possessed...

There was no "all." And exorcisms are not treatment for the mentally ill.
