He isn't doing either, but what business of it is his? He didn't provide a single example of a 15 year old getting sterilized, but only showed it is statutorily possible that one could. And by the way, until recently, involuntary sterilization was something that many states did frequently. As far as gas goes, yeah, there is no self serve - as far as I know you can't pump your own gas in New Jersey either, but I don't hear anyone bitching about that. And for what it's worth, initiatives for allowing self serve have come up before - they get defeated at the ballot box. Democracy at work...

what business of it is his? An odd response. His sister grew up there and he lives there and he's a US citizen.

He didn't provide a single example of a 15 year old getting sterilized Probably difficult to get this info on minor children. And the fact that a law exists at all addresses Olson's thesis.

you can't pump your own gas in New Jersey That's bad as well, but doesn't lessen the badness of Oregon's nannystatehood

they get defeated at the ballot box. Democracy at work... That would seem to be Olson's point - that the population of Oregon has a majority of nature-loving nannystate socialists.

I know about such things, living in jaw-droppingly beautiful redredred Hawaii. Carl Olson is a writer I often read, and respect.

As a cheerleader for all Oregon's idiotic, socialist policies you must closely resemble one of those bizarre hippies from that show Portlandia.....

Sad for you.
