“St.John the Baptist also reminds us — Christians in our own times — that we cannot give into compromise when it comes to our love for Christ, for His Word, for His Truth. The Truth is the Truth; there is no compromise.”
Excellent! The Holy Father going directly at gray relativism. Wednesday, an elderly Resurrectionist missionary priest had the homily at the Mass I attended in Louisville. I jotted down a few of his words:
“John (the Baptist) was true to his mission. He stood up for Truth. And for that he was martyred. ... Once in a while, we have to back up what we believe. Maybe we lose a friend or two because of that, because we’re not politically correct. ... Many people don’t want to hear the Truth. ... This could happen if you stand up and say abortion is wrong. ... The Lord is with you. Remember that! Have courage!”
