“The wailing wall is not part of the Temple . It wasn’t there until after the Temple Herod built was destroyed .”

This is incorrect. The Western Wall was built as part of Herod’s ambitious plan to expand the Temple Mount platform during the existence of the Second Temple. It is definitely a remnant of the Temple.

The western wall is a retaining wall but not part of the Temple . They have been doing a lot of digging around it and have discovered coins under some of the stones that date the bottom section of the wall just after Herod passed away .
