“Thirdly, one of the retaining walls of Solomon’s Temple, built almost three thousand years ago, still stands on the western side of the Temple Mount. I’ve seen it and touched its ancient stones. I’ve prayed at it. It is there.”

That particular wall is from about Herod’s time and perhaps part of it later.

Did’nt Jesus say the Temple and all the walls would be destroyed?
I wondered why the wailing wall still stands?

There is some controversy as to whether this wall is actually of the Herodian temple.

The eastern retaining wall, where Herod couldn’t expand, does seem to show a portion of Solomon’s original retaining wall.
