On Wednesday, The Salt Lake Tribune reports the church posted a statement on its website saying it "does not prohibit the use of caffeine."

They've certainly changed their tune over the years.

Some time back, a Mormon friend couldn't go to his own daughter's wedding in a Mormon temple ... because he was known to drink coffee.

When I went to Salt Lake to visit my Aunt, my Uncle broke out the coffee rather than sneak out to get his fix. I wonder what she thought of my Grandfather getting his coffee fix every morning, she was very LDS.
