No, he was not forced into the priesthood nor was he forced to be a homosexual nor is the Catholic church forced to keep him as a priest so one might ask why he is still a priest.

He was not forced into celibacy. He chose it. No one forces you to be an RC priest.So what else are you going to do after 8 years of school, only to realize you can not be celibate??? Throw away the 8 years of your life or try to live a secret life and continue on with the religion???
