It is time that those who call upon the Lord of Hosts implore His blessing on Israel.
I've often thought that satan is using islam not just to get a lot of killing,stealing and destroying done but to instill in the world a fear and loathing of mono-theism..
Whenever the latest muslim outrage happens upon the public (at least here in Oz) people talk about 'religion' being the problem not islam.
The devil is getting a lot of mileage out of islam by using it to get the world to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

The Psalm tells us why the “heathen rage”. It comes down to two things, 1) a vain thing that they imagine, and 2) the leaders, the so-called “kings of the earth and their rulers”.
Is this what the Scripture says here? Let's take a closer and more precise look at it:
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?"
Firstly, there are two classes of humans (all of Adam) here. They are: (1) the humans whose God is The God of the Bible; and (2) the humans whose god is not The God of the Bible. Class 1 here is "the people" of verse 1, the People of The God. In contrast, Class 2 is "the heathen," worldlings whose god is the god of this age, Satan.
What humans belong to Class 1? I say that The Bible indicates this consists of two further subclasses: (A) the blood descendants of Jacob/Israel, who came under the Law, the first, Old Covenant; and (B) those professing faith in The Christ of the second, New Covenant.
Furthermore, these may be subdivided. Class 1.A is if two varieties: (i) religious, observant Jews, and (ii) secular, nonobservant Jews.
Similarly (but not identically) Class 1.B. comprises: (i) confessing, regenerated, following believers in Christ; and (ii) professing, unregenerated adherent believers in the Christian religion. These can be further classified, but for Psalm 2:1, this is not necessary.
On the other hand, Class 2, the heathen, could be classified on other bases, but not here as to relationship to The God. Looking into Psalm 2:1, it is not particularly the illogical, emotional, raging idolatrous heathen that are said to imagine/reason/logically conclude a vain thing -- it is The People who are said to be dealing with Jehovah with vain reasoning (humasnistic theology) rather than with believing, obedient faith! (Going forward, please note that the definition in the Koine of "Christos" is in English "The Anointed One," or just plain "Anointed" for short, as it would be "Messiach" in the Hebrew language in Psalm 2:2.)
Secondly, what is that vain thing they were imagining? It is the concept of agreeing both within their own national borders, and internationally as well, to break The Law of The Jehovah God which is embodied in the laws of their various constitutions and charters; and to throw out any restraints placed on their desire to institute a world government, just as before the language was confounded.
"And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." (Gen. 11:6-7)
Thirdly, who is it that is doing the reasonings (theology) of Christendom and Judaism? I believe it is their kings (and presidents) who are determined, and their rulers (religious figures and civil plenipotentiaries)...
"The kings of the earth st themselves, and their rulers take counsel together, ..." Fourthly, how are they conjointly convened to advance their mutual interests? It is those who "take counsel together against JEHOVAH and HIS CHRIST.
The only ones not in agreement with his are Class 1.A.i. observant, Messiach-loving (but God-blinded) Jews and Class 1.B.i. confessing, regenerate, believing followers of The Christ of the Cross.
So what is my point?
It is that we have allowed the ruling of the United States to be taken over by a numerically superior band of Class 2 heathen, leavened by a segment of Class 1.A.ii secular Jewish and Class 1.B.ii professors (but not possessors) of Christ; who will not come out, be separate, and 'touch not the unclean thing' (2 Cor. 6:17-7:1). The minor constituent of still-believing Christ-following representatives are generally over-ruled and likely not re-elected.
Therefore, not supporting Israel, and maddening the heathen (who want nothing to do with the christian principle of representative democracy, derived from the Protestant church polity of congregationalism), our godly motto "In God We Trust" has become a mockery to the world, and we can count on chastening instituted by The God when we bring His Name into disrepute, as He has chastened other nations that have abandoned Him.
Take it from there, Pastor Bill. Bring some preaching against The People who imagine a vain thing. The Muslims, the spawn of Ishmael (and Edom, and Ham, and Japheth) are only doing what they have been, long before Mohammed or Marx or Buddha.
