Last weeks approval of a religious liberty law in Missouri will have a significant impact on Catholic education in the state, and it is a hopeful sign for religious employers and families who oppose the Obama health plans mandatory coverage for abortion-causing drugs, sterilizations and contraception.
According to Matt Bowman of Alliance Defending Freedom:
On Wednesday, Missouri lawmakers ignored the warnings of the Obama administration and overrode their governors veto to enact religious exemptions to the abortion pill mandate.
The bill, which passed through the state senate on a 26-6 vote and through the house on a 109-45 vote, is now law in Missouri and provides citizens of that state with serious religious freedom protections.
Not only that, but the new law actually provides the extra safeguard of giving Missourians grounds on which to sue should their religious exemptions be violated.

We should get this in Tennessee. I will forward to Matthew Hill, a good guy inthe TN legislative house.
GOD bless Missouri. How I wish we could get this in the People’s Democratic Socialist Republic of Illinois, but pigs will fly first.
