Jerusalem In The Scriptures

Psalm 122

A song of ascents.

1. Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
2. As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
both now and forevermore.

3. The scepter of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
their hands to do evil.

4. Lord, do good to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.
5. But those who turn to crooked ways
the Lord will banish with the evildoers.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Father in Heaven,
Sanctified and Magnified is Your Most Wonderful and Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise and Worship,
For You Alone Are The One True God.
We humbly come before You,
as a body of believers,
on behalf of Your People Israel.
We know in our hearts that nobody is perfect except You.
We know in our hearts that the People Of Israel are no different than anyone else in this regard,
and are in as much need of Your Mercy as anyone else.
Even when We are unfaithful, though,
YOU are ALWAYS Faithful to Your promises!

Hallelujah!

As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
both now and forevermore.

LORD, we Pray for The Peace of Jerusalem, Israel,
and all Your People.
We Pray that the evil plots and schemes of their enemies will be thwarted and laid to ruin.
We Pray that the leaders of the enemy,
who are also the enemy of Our Own Beloved USA,
be brought down in confusion and waste.
We Pray that the children of Ishmael who live within the borders of Israel
will cast off the chains of false religion and idolatry and embrace the One True God of Abraham,
However That Miracle may be Achieved,
In Your Will and In Your Good Timing.
LORD, We Pray for Your People Israel.
Cleanse Us All from unrighteousness,
Forgive us the sin of complacency in the face of cataclysmic world events,
and forgive us for not praying enough for your people!
Teach us to recognize Your signs,
but not to read our own ideas into them.
Do not allow us to try and manipulate people to our own agenda.
Please put a "check and balance" in our hearts if we try anything like that!
And most of all,
Dear Father,
Bring Redemption,
Peace and Prosperity to Your Holy Land,
and Your Chosen People.

Last evening on God’ Learning Channel ... Christian teachings about the Hebrew/Jewish roots, there was a most interesting couple of hours from one of their programmers, Diana Dye. Very interesting. She is one of several regulars on God's Learning channel. They cache 5 (back) programs so if one is missed it can be found. Always the last 5.

Diana was suggesting believers read Psalm 145 (and thru 150) every morning for at least 6 months.

I did read it this morning.

Prayers to the most high God, thanksgiving, rejoicing in His goodness, mercy, loving kindness, honor and praise are our worship to thee LORD. And obedience. Forgive us our sins. We ask for peace and blessings to be upon Israel, Jerusalem, for the persecuted believers, and for the lost and our enemies; and we pray blessing be upon America and healing be upon the lands. We thank thee for all good poured out upon those that love thee LORD. Forever and forever we seek to serve thee, and be in thy presence, in Jesus name we pray.
