Those churches are free to adopt their own policy, of course, but they also are dealing with the same issues.

Not really, it depends on which of the various Evangelical Churchs (all receive this church tax) you are talkign about -- they have their own rules preventing people from using facilities if they don't pay for them.

In one way -- say, using church facilities it makes sense -- if you can afford to pay for the organist, flowers etc. for your wedding day, why should others pay for you?
