PRAYER FOR OUR NATION
Please join me as we seek HIS face Most Gracious Father and Creator of all that was ever created please hear these words; first of all, I pray they are not just words but rather words your Son gave me to give those that do care. We as a nation have insulted you to the point that I wonder how YOU put up with us. There seems to be but a remnant ready to worship and praise YOU, but we pray there are enough of us to get your attention again. Wherever I go, I hear people saying “God bless America” Is this proverb? Do people really mean it? What have we done to merit the freedom we love to speak of? You gave this nation to us. Just like YOU did for the nation Israel; and we have done as Israel did. 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2Ch 7:15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. 2Ch 7:16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 2Ch 7:17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments; 2Ch 7:18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel. 2Ch 7:19 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; 2Ch 7:20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations. 2Ch 7:21 And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house? 2Ch 7:22 And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.
I come before you asking grace again, even knowing that I have sinned, and we as a nation have sinned. We ask you to heal the land that YOU have protected so long. We do not deserve it. The only time most of us even talk to YOU is to ask for something. Well Father; Some of us do care, we are only a remnant but we do love you; some of us do seek your face, some of us do want to stop the murder of babies in the womb; some of us desire to see what it is like again to see your hand move against the abominable. Many of us are struggling against the enemy. We desire to see the way Gideon worked with just 300 men of war and you did the fighting.
Many of us desire to see the way you work. I desire that YOU show your power Many do not understand that the battle is yours; if we will only trust you. YOU ARE THAT YOU ARE.! There is none beside YOU. Many are trusting in the politics of professional politicians but we trust YOU! Many people cannot understand trusting GOD; but I trust YOU; and the Free Republic trusts YOU; and I pray there are many more who have put their trust in YOU because YOU can be trusted. We see YOUR hand in all that we do. Amen.
