Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Jerusalem In The Scriptures

Song Of Solomon, Chapter 1

How right they are to adore you!

5. Dark am I, yet lovely,
daughters of Jerusalem,
dark like the tents of Kedar,
like the tent curtains of Solomon.
6. Do not stare at me because I am dark,
because I am darkened by the sun.
My mother’s sons were angry with me
and made me take care of the vineyards;
my own vineyard I had to neglect.
7. Tell me, you whom I love,
where you graze your flock
and where you rest your sheep at midday.
Why should I be like a veiled woman
beside the flocks of your friends?

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,
Who Art In Heaven,
How Blessed and Glorious is Your Most Wonderful and Holy Name!
You Made Us,
and Everything there is,
For Your Are The Creator
The Only One.

Nothing Happens without Your Notice, Abba.
You know How many hairs are on my head,
How many cells in my body.
Nothing is Impossible for You.

Dark am I, yet lovely,
daughters of Jerusalem,
dark like the tents of Kedar,
like the tent curtains of Solomon.

Father,
Even in the Sensual Love Poetry of the Ancients
We Read the Connection between You and Jerusalem.
We Pray For the City of Solomon,
And For The People of Solomon, The Son of David,
And For the Country that Chose The Family Crest of David as its National Symbol.
We ask That, Like Solomon,
We can receive Wisdom that can only come from You.

We Pray for Our Own Leaders in America,
May They Speak Comfort to Jerusalem.
May We NOT be Numbered Among Israel's Enemies, God Forbid!
We Pray For The American People,
May They NOT be Deceived by the Media.
May Their Eyes be Opened with regard to God's People Israel.

We pray for an END to Lies,
Slander, Blood Libel, Propaganda,
and Antisemitism against Your Beloved.
We Pray For an End to Slavery,
Hostage-Taking,
and Piracy wherever it is Practiced Around the World.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Plead For Israeli Control Over All the Holy Sites in Israel,
so that All Faiths may visit them.
We Pray For Bibi Netanyahu, and the Leaders of Israel
May They Receive Wisdom from You to do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

A very strange and interesting thought occurred to me this morning in the light of BiBi's address to the UN yesterday.

Bibi spoke of the wonderful advances in medicine and science, as well as the social and human rights in Israel vs. those of the "Medievalists." He spoke of the open FACT that Arabs are treated in Israeli hospitals and benefit from Jewish "Civilization". The verse about having to neglect her own vineyard to tend the vineyards of others jumped out at me! Toiling in the hot Mideast sun for the benefit of others had darkened and toughened her complexion, yet the "King" found her BEAUTIFUL.

Just my own little insight. probably not sound Biblical exegesis at all...but just thought I would share it.

Dark am I, yet lovely,
daughters of Jerusalem,
dark like the tents of Kedar,
like the tent curtains of Solomon.

Come and pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our beloved Nation.

King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)

! Corinthians 2:9.
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
************************************************************

1 Corinthians 13:12

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”

- King James Bible “Authorized Version”, Pure Cambridge Edition
****************************************************

God gave His Word that we might know His commandments, from the beginning ... we began to reason and rationalize our self.
God gave us choice. We mostly fail. There is a veil through/by which things are hidden. When looking through a dark glass things are contorted, or strange, mostly colors, looking defused and murky. So we imagine. The other verse tells us of things beyond our imagination. Suggesting wonderful things as a reward for those that truly love Him (and are obedient).

Which we are to be, IF we love Him, ... we are to be obedient.

I mean to obey in all things yet day to day, I do not spend as much time in prayer and study as I play on the computer. WHY? WHY? Which is more important?

Father forgive me, I pray for mercy and forgiveness, Bless Israel, Jerusalem, and the persecuted believers, and for the lost and seekers of God. We offer love, praise, to Thee for thy goodness, and loving kindness, only Thee has the truth. Help me to follow thy Word and be obedient daily, in Jesus name, amen.

Thou Father has thy own GLORY, May we see it return to Israel through the east gate. Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
