WASHINGTON, DC, October 4, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Romney campaign has released a hard-hitting video message from Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan aimed at Catholics. Speaking as a Catholic to ‘fellow Catholics’ about Catholic charities, Ryan said, “President Obama has attacked these indispensable institutions since virtually the moment he took office.”
“We need a president who will support our God-given rights—not try to circumvent them,” he added. “The protection of religious liberty will be a cornerstone of a Romney-Ryan administration.”
The Catholic League’s Bill Donohue told LifeSiteNews, “Rep. Ryan’s message is what we’ve been saying all along: the threat to our religious liberty is real and it’s no secret that the Obama administration is the leading culprit. It is not just simply a Catholic issue, it is important to people of all Americans of faith.”
Ryan concludes, “Please take a moment to share this message with your family and friends. Encourage your fellow Catholics to join our cause. Together, we will ensure that our faith and our traditions are protected for our children—and for generations to come.”
