For seven days of Sukkot, Jews walk around in circles, carrying an assortment of green and yellow flora. Then, on Simchat Torah, they dance in circles carrying Hebrew scrolls, working up to a frenzy.
Did I say dance? Well, its more like marching, your hands over the next guys shoulders, singing and stomping as you march to . . . the same place you started from. Repeat until you plotz.

A little article about the upcoming holiday of Simchas Torah (rejoicing of/with the Torah,) Where scholar and layman together dance with the Torah... this ain't the time to study it, rather the time to become it!

This holiday has really taken off. In New York City, sukkahs are set up all over the town - with wine and bread and fruit. Even gentiles are invited to join in. In my surburban neighborhood, some families move into the sukkahs that are set up on the grounds of the shul.
