Sometimes our prayers are not answered by the Lord.

*************

Our prayers are always heard...
And God answers in His ways and timing...

Sometimes God's answer is not the one we sought or preferred....

Many times God's answer is.... "not right now"

And then there is God's Sovereignty----
... and the "answers" that were set in motion before the foundations of the world...
...for His own higher purposes....
... and ultimate Glory....

**********

In all things.... at all times... and in every circumstance....
May the Name of our Wonderful and Holy God be praised and honored...

God bless America...

Listening to Vernon McGee comment on Isaiah. Hezekiah is surrounded. It’s hopeless. Always interesting timing on what particular passages come within earshot at different times. I’ve learned that when all else fails, God never does, He just does things in his time.

He did. We are seeing things right now through a pin hole. We don’t see the big picture of His plan. You have half a nation who are utterly clueless, rebellious and selfish. Another half who may vote right but have a mixture of some of the same within them. Then you have a core group who get it. If God continues blessing, how will others ever learn? Hold on to God. He is your hope. Not money. Not status. Not even America. He will give You grace.

Greece, indeed. The only question is how quickly this occurs.

There is no question we are on the road to economic insolvency and collapse, but the powers that be are very good at kicking the can down the road. Look to Japan and Europe as examples of how it is done. All sorts of gimmicks and tricks will be pulled to allow the status quo to continue - and the markets, ratings agencies, giant corporations, etc, will play along. I am guessing we have 10-20 years of gradual decline and decay before it all goes to pieces.

And you were right. I would say "good job", but there is nothing good about this.

Yeah I know, it sucks. I believe we crossed the tipping point sometime during Obama's first term. This nation will now vote much more like a European welfare state and that means the conservative message will more and more difficult sell. There will just be less and less of an appetite to cut anything at all from government.

Also, the polls showing Obama leading/winning the key battleground states were right. In fact, it is almost scary how accurate they've become - especially when combined into something like the RCP Average. There was far too much disputing polls on our side. Are some of them wrong? Sure. Do you get anywhere disputing them and whining about supposed Dem oversampling? No.

Thanks for the opportunity. In my fast, I have learned to place my trust in God rather than in my fellow man. Many of us may find ourselves carted off to Babylon in the coming years. But we must not lose our faith. At some point, we (like Daniel) will be provide the opportunity to input our influence again.

We serve an awesome God. He is so deserving of our worship and praise.

My Buddhist Prayers (chanted amidst clouds of fine Scotch vapors) are with you as well.

I am so sorry, I don't know what to tell any young person now. I just left my daughter, she was so distraught and cried on my old shoulders for so long.

I am old, and I will not live to see what will happen in 15 to 20 yrs or so, but I am so heartbroken that our children, granchildren and beyond will have to suffer.

Very bad times are coming, there is no doubt about that and all I can tell anyone is to find comfort in the LORD and be ready.

Matthew 24 speaks of "his time being cut short". I feel there is something in that chapter for us to heed, I just don't know how it applies to today.

If I could give you a hug for comfort, I would. God bless you and keep you.

R. (1a) The Lord is my light and my salvation.
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The LORD is my life's refuge;
of whom should I be afraid?
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.
One thing I ask of the LORD;
this I seek:
To dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
That I may gaze on the loveliness of the LORD
and contemplate his temple.
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.
I believe that I shall see the bounty of the LORD
in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD with courage;
be stouthearted, and wait for the LORD.
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.

Thank you. God did not forsake us. The United States turned it’s back on Him. He will not stand to be mocked anymore. Stay in His word and stand with fellow believers. Divided we will be until His return.

it has been pretty evident for weeks that the answer was always goign to be no- then hte storm hit, and then the rhino chrisie did what he does best- he sucked up to the president for political gain irregardless of how much it woudl hurt romeny’s chance to win- NJ WAS ALWAYS GOING TO GET THE RELIEF MONEY irregardless of whether christie sucked up to hte president or not- there was no need for him to betray this nation like he did- however, as you point out, God had this planned long ago- knowing the type of character that Christie is- and knowing that romeny was really nothign more than a liberal GOP’er- and God orchestrated events for His own purposes- but it’s just a hard thing to Ask God to save thsi nagtion only to watch it crumble because of unrepentant hearts leadign htis country-and I truly beleve that Since we as a nation have decided to kick God out of our country, that God has turned His face from us so that we may reap what we have sown- He has removed His blessing from this once great nation

This country has a VERY hard lesson to learn- and the sooner it repents, the less pain it will have to suffer- but I don’;t beleive the wickedness i nthis country is goign to abate anytime soon- especially now that evil has been given a free reign for the next 4 years

Carthage, we are all crying but do not fear. The Lord our God is with us. Go to Him and seek Him. He will comfort you.

Perhaps to save our nation, which is what we have prayed, we must lose our nation. Don't know.

Thank you for your post Blogger.

I have thought the same things, and for the same reasons. I guess many of us have.

It was Thomas Jefferson who wrote

"I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

[[You can’t pray your way into election victories]]

Actually we can pray our way to victory- however, the prayer will NEED to be prayed as a collective whole of a nation askign God to fogive us for our unbeleif and for our wickedness

[[To win elections you need polished, skilled politicians who can sell people on a set of ideas.]]

God controls who wins and who doesn’t-

[[There is no guarantee people will vote the right way either - even if they are god fearing folks]]

If they aren’t voting hte right way, then they aren’t truly God Fearing people, because obviously they don’t beleive that God woudl actually keep His word and remove His blessing from us shoudl we turn a blind eye to His moral laws- IF they truly were God fearing, they woudl be too afraid of God’s judgement to vote the wrong way-

[[People should really knock it off with this notion that if we pray enough it will help us win elections. It probably won’t.]]

Really? Daniel 2:21 He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

Daniel 4:17,25,26 tell us three times that “the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.”

“He worketh all things after the counsel of his own will”

Whewn Christians pray- our prayers go along the lines of ‘Nevertheless not our will be doen oh Lord, But Your will be doen according to, and for Your glory and plan for our lives-

You tell them God is in control, and that things may look bad, but God is working htings for His Glory andf for His purposes, and that no matter how hard it is we MUST accept it and allow Him to be God once again-

[[Very bad times are coming, there is no doubt about that]]

True- but God IS still in control- This country wanted to be a nation without God, and God has granted this nation it’s request- but this nation will quickly find out what a terrible mistake it made - and sadly, that appears to be what needs to happen and we beleivers need to somehow come to grips with it and accept it as hard as it might be to accept

Cott: I know what you are saying, and it will be addressed in time with my daughter, as she is a Christian as well.

It is just for this moment, tonight, that we have the need to mourn as we would for the loss of any loved one, for that is what it is. We have lost America. We need to Mourn, and no one is able to tell each of us how to do that.

Some will need to cry for days, some scream out, it is a necessary reaction to what just happened and needs to take is course,BUT

Tomorrow is a new day, we will all wake up and for those of us that know the Lord, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

It is also so very sad, that our grandchildren are left to pick up the pieces. We as parents and grandparents are supposed to make it better for them. WE failed (not you and I), but AMERICA and her politicians. The politicians FAILED US, both sides of the isles, as they sit up there in their IVORY towers and laugh at us peons.

However, GOD does not miss a thing, and those Politicians be held accountable for their deeds, count on it.
