The article is half right. Obama’ reelection was ordained by God. Scripture indicates God’s sovereignty over everything, including elections. And the powers that be are ordained by God whether they be personally righteous or not. Still, the idea that we are to be silent in the face of evil is not biblical. Where at all possible live in peace, stand for the truth even if the stars fall, and you’re doing God’s work.

Just because God’s Sovereignty rules over all things, doesn’t mean he approves, directs, or ordains all events.

If the decision is between 2 unbelievers, He might not lower Himself to make such a contrived decision, but instead might simply allow worldly power systems the liberty to exercise their decisions, manifesting to all Creation how their independence from His Will leads to catastrophic consequences.

One poor choice of words is in the article’s title. God’s election is different than a national election.
