Your problem in Luke 24 is that you refuse to use the Hebrew method of rekoning days.

Every day begins at sundown.

Christ was pierced at the very moment that the pasach lamb was killed, at sundown, the beginning of the 5th day. He lay in the tomb through the 5th, 6th, and 7th days, and arose at the very moment that the sheaf was waved, at sundown, the beginning of First Fruits, the first day.

All of that fits perfectly with every scripture on the subject, both in Luke, and in Acts.

Accept those facts, and I promise to testify in your favor at your license suspension hearing ;o)

DAY (Hebrew, “yom”): In the Bible, the season of light (Gen. i. 5), lasting “from dawn [lit. “the rising of the morning”] to the coming forth of the stars” (Neh. iv. 15, 17). The term “day” is used also to denote a period of twenty-four hours (Ex. xxi. 21). In Jewish communal life part of a day is at times reckoned as one day; e.g., the day of the funeral, even when the latter takes place late in the afternoon, is counted as the first of the seven days of mourning; a short time in the morning of the seventh day is counted as the seventh day; circumcision takes place on the eighth day, even though of the first day only a few minutes remained after the birth of the child, these being counted as one day. Again, a man who hears of a vow made by his wife or his daughter, and desires to cancel the vow, must do so on the same day on which he hears of it, as otherwise the protest has no effect; even if the hearing takes place a little time before night, the annulment must be done within that little time. The day is reckoned from evening to evening—i.e., night and day—except in reference to sacrifices, where daytime and the night following constitute one day (Lev. vii. 15; see Calendar). “The day” denotes: (a) Day of the Lord; (b) the Day of Atonement; (c) the treatise of the Mishnah that contains the laws concerning the Day of Atonement (See Yoma and Sabbath).

from the jewishencyclopedia.com

please read the above definition of a “day” according to the jewish faith.

ANY PART OF A DAY IS COUNTED AS ONE DAY.

so, if a baby is born 2 SECONDS before sundown and dies 2 SECONDS after sundown, how many days was the baby alive??

ask a rabbi, according to jewish law, the baby lived TWO DAYS ( even though it was only alive 4 seconds! )
if the baby lived another 24 hours, according to jewish law, it died ON THE THIRD DAY. ( even though it was alive a total of 24 hours and 4 seconds )

i notice no one took up my challenge on counting days in Acts 10, hmmmm, i wonder why?

the term “ 3 days and 3 nights” and “after 3 days” have the same meaning in the Bible as “on the third day”. they are all expressions meaning the same concept to a 1st century Jew.

so if Jesus died on 3:00pm Wednesday, sundown Wednesday evening would have been day one since He died, sundown Thursday evening would end day two, and He would have to have risen by sundown Friday evening in order to have risen on the third day.

THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE ACCORDING TO LUKE 24.

Luke 24 takes place on the first day of the week ( on the feast of firstfruits ), which was the THIRD DAY since Jesus died. Since Jesus said He would rise ON THE THIRD DAY ( Luke 9:22 ), we know He rose on the feast of firstfruits, the first day of the week. Applying the Biblical way to count days as found in Luke 13, Exodus 19:10-11 and Acts 10, we can easily see Jesus had to haved died on Friday at 3:00pm, in order for the first day of the week to be the THIRD DAY since the crucifixion.

i think many great men such as Augustine, Aquinas, Luther, Calvin and many others have studied the Scriptures hundreds of years before rood decided he found something NO ONE else discovered.

i guess it is easier to sell tapes to the gullible if you “find” something new in the Scriptures.

Orthodox Christianity is not a “hot” product these days, is it?
2 Timothy 4:3-4 seems to describe these days rather well.
