it absolutely is about what day Jesus died.
Luke 24 is absolutely clear Jesus died on Friday, since that would make the first day of the week ( Sunday ) the feast of First Fruits and the day He rose from the dead.
let Christianity be true and Rood continue in his abundant ignorance of both history and the Scriptures.
Luke 24:21 says the first day of the week was the third day since the cruxifiction.
friday = day one
saturday = day two
sunday = 3rd day
rood’s timeline is rubbish, unbiblical and unknown to any Christian for 1,800 years.
now, does the Bible say false prophets will arise in the latter days or the true church will be re-establishe after 2,000 years of apostosy?
i am amazed rood is able to fool one person that has access to a Bible.
I can't let this one pass... lol
You've just admitted that you only listened to "26 minutes" of Rood's presentation but you have no problem with making the false statement above.
Do you seriously expect any reasonable, thinking person to believe you a clue of what you're talking about?!
I recommend you finish the presentation.
>> “Luke 24 is absolutely clear Jesus died on Friday” <<
.
That is absolutely false.
Why would you want to twist a verse in Luke to make the Lord a liar? He said that he would be in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights. He was in the tomb three whole days and three whole nights. He arose at sundown, the beginning of the first day, First Fruits, as the priest waved the sheif at the temple. It wouldn’t be what you call sunday for 6 more hours when he arose.
