i didn’t get that far, but your false teacher radar was spot on. apparently he also denies the divinity of Jesus Christ. seems like a combination of herbert armstrong and the way.

but your false teacher radar was spot on.

The fact the google's autocomplete suggested "michael root exposed", "michael rood heresy" and "michael rood false prophet" might be a clue.

10 to 1 the mention of Nicea would be enough to start a rant on his part.

Seriously, a couple things stood out:

  1. The whole faux Jewish Hebrew Roots thing is enough to make me leery.
  2. his website. I usually look for a statement of faith of some sort, to get an idea of where someone is coming from. If I find that I look it over for what it says, and doesn't say. I watch for gaps, shibboleths, odd turns of phrasing, and try to figure out if they're deliberate, or just inept. If there is a "what I believe" or a statement of faith on Rood's site, it's buried deep. I can't find one. I'm not going to wade through his videos to get what I want -- I don't have that kind of time.
