The topic attracts nutty speculation and strange theorizing, but then it would. I know Quix went on about it (and on, and on), and he had his strong beliefs regarding the matter, all tangled up with Biblical prophecy. I'll go out on a limb and say that such a thing may turn out to be plausible, as far as the great end times deception. I won't go to the mat arguing for it, but it's plausible.

Whatever it is, this phenomenon has been around throughout recorded history and apparently goes into prehistory, looking at certain carvings, glyphs, etc., religious woodcuts and paintings, even whole religious texts in some belief systems (For example Vimanas in Hinduism).

They're there, whatever they are, and have been for a very long time. That is a factual statement, albeit a very general one. All the dismissiveness and all the weirdness, particularly in the modern era of “little green men” and such tend to throw the whole thing into tinfoil land. Most of it is tinfoil-worthy, actually, including this article you've so kindly posted for our entertainment and edification.

But, then again ... all anyone can fairly say is that there has been observable phenomena for millennia that lacks conventional explanation, remarkably similar to craft of some kind.

Beyond that lies a lot of craziness, lol.

So ... if you're planning to pick up the slack, you need to do some serious work on your polychromatic variably sized fonts, your massive over-use of punctuation marks, your inability to express yourself in complete sentences, and your paranoid megalomania.
