That the pederast priest that raped them committed a horrendous sin and a horrendous crime, and that these boys should wish work for a stronger Catholic Church that would consider any form of homosexuality, including homosexual inclination, a firm bar against priesthood or deaconate, or work with the flock in the Church; that would publicly and loudly proclaim that homosexuality or other sexual deviance is a sin regardless of civil laws that might allow them. The Church has the Holy Inquisition that she, the Church employed to great effect and it is time for Holy Inquisition to be sent to America and eradicate these pederast priests from her midst, and where civil laws were committed, refer them to civil prosecution.
Then I urge the victims of abuse to purge all vindictive passions form their souls and seek strength to forgive their tormentors, and come as slaves to Christ to my Church, which alone can lead them to Christ and to salvation.
Them, especially, I will urge to stay away form the errors of Protestantism which is a religion based on hatred of the Holy Catholic Apostolic Church. I will also urge them to fight modernism, all its works, political and artistic, and all its designs to reform human sexuality in the Satan's mold.
Do you also advocate all the means (including torture) used by the church (directly or indirectly) in the Inquisitions against theological dissenters?
And how many hundreds of years does it take to do that? That kind of sin has been rampant in the RCC for over a thousand years. Too many people's lives have been damaged already and the RCC still seems to be doing nothing about it.
It's not the responsibility of the victims to correct the situation, but rather the church leadership, who has hitherto been turning a blind eye to it and enabling the perpetrators.
The Catholic church hierarchy needs to be the one to clean house of their own who are perpetrating those vile acts. Until that happens, it will not change, no matter how much the laity cries out against it.
Yet it wasn't until I met an Evangelical Christian that I saw someone that really, truly believed in Christ and LIVED that way. What an awakening! Sorry but my experience tells me that rude language, jokes, sex before marriage, excessive drinking, smoking (cigarettes and pot) are matter of fact for many Catholics. Sin really is no big deal because theoretically there are so many loopholes that everyone’s going to heaven anyway. Basically to me, the great majority of Catholics who are welcomed into church every week have no intentions of living like Christ to the best of their ability. Sin means nothing to them. No repentance.
I can imagine the arguments burning in your brain as you think, “Well, doesn't this butthead know anything about all the supposed Christians who did this and that...”. Guess what! It's very simple that ANYONE, even if they claim to be Christian, who ignores God's word and makes no attempt to follow Christ, is in fact not a Christian. I hear supposed Christians on the tv and radio all the time who make my stomach turn. Yes, there are many, many frauds out there. I can only speak for the church I chose to attend, that if it's known that someone is intentionally walking in sin, and has no desire or intent to change, they will be shown the door. They don't belong there. But it's an awesome church and within minutes of being in there, one knows that they are surrounded by the real deal. As I said since meeting my first true Christian, “they talk the talk, and walk the walk”. Repent and believe. And it will show in your walk. Christ's word. You can see by tagline that I think highly of Sarah Palin. I think she's a great example of a true Christian. It radiates from her and draws good people to her. And consequently her faith, as genuine and obvious as it is, repels those who live outside of God's word. BTW, this is my 1000th post. Cool that it's defending God's word.
Not quite...
... a religion based on hatred of the ERRORS of the Holy Catholic Apostolic Church.
You HAVE to admit there were some; or else the COUNTER-reformation would not have taken place.
Annalex,
Have you ever read Martin Luther’s 95 Theses?? There were very good & valid reasons for the rebellion of The Reformation. The Catholic Church was VASTLY corrupt! And changes became inevitable...brought about by some extremely courageous men... IMHO.
