Since you feel strongly that Christmas as we know it should come to an end, would you please provide for us all a list of businesses that you, your children, your family or friends own, operate, work for, or profit from so we can stop buying their goods and services and other things that help us celebrate Christmas as we know it. Since Christmas sales sometimes make or break a business I’m sure you wouldn’t mind if all of the ones you and your family are associated with lose lots of money or better yet, go out of business.

I knew when I said that I would face criticism, and that’s ok. I’m not trying to stop anyone from celebrating Christmas, but rather the way that it is. Highly commericalized, secular...children wake up to loads of presents, which puts a strain on many family finances. People pile on debt each year to make sure their kids got what they wanted, and it puts a strain on their finances for who knows how long? Really, what do gifts, unless we are going to equate it God’s gift of Jesus Christ, His free gift of salvation, the gifts brought to Jesus as a baby...what does it have to do with the birth of Jesus Christ? The aformentioned reasons are a stretch. So, while many retailers count on Christmas season to make it to stay in business, there are many negative effects on people financially. Retailer can find another way. In any event, this is only my opinion - I know very well that Christmas as we know it is never going to end.
