Many Mormons behave in a more Christian manner than a lot of "Christians" in the world.

True.

Doncha wish that 'good behaviour' was the criteria for getting into heaven!!

Many MUSLIMS also behave in a more Christian manner than a lot of "Christians" in the world.

Likewise so do some atheists, Wiccans and navel gazers.

John 6:28-29

Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

1 John 3:21-24

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

It is a major component of the criteria for getting into heaven for Catholic and Orthodox Christians, who make up the majority of Christians in the world. (roughly 1.4 billion Catholic & Orthodox, vs. 600 million protestants, and the "evangelical" crowd is only a small percentage within those protestants)
