Eminem Becomes A Born Again Christian?
Christian Post ^ | 01/04/2013 | By Vincent Funaro

Eminem could now be a born again Christian, according to a new rumor.

A source from the rapper's hometown of Detroit claims to have witnessed Eminem's transformation firsthand through some of his recent actions, according to AllHipHop.com. He stated that Eminem has been going through many changes as of late and has removed himself "from the depths of the music industry," and has also refused to conform to what is expected from him in the business.

Eminem, known for his shock value lyrics as well as his vivid storytelling and superior lyrical capabilities confessed to being a Christian on a song on his first album Infinite, which was released before his major label debut The Slim Shady LP.

"But in the midst of this insanity, I've found my Christianity through God and there's a wish he granted me," raps Eminem on "It's Ok." "He showed me how to cope with this stress and hope for the best, instead of moping depressed."

After penning these lyrics, Eminem went on to become an international superstar in the music world, selling millions of albums. The content in his music also continuously changed along the way as he began rapping as his alter ego Slim Shady who could be a serial killer one day and a drug addict the next.

During his career, Eminem has also penned inspirational hits such as "Lose Yourself" and "Not Afraid" that were closer to "It's Ok" in terms of positive content.

The rapper has admitted in interviews that he prays on a somewhat regular basis, but still releases music laced with profanity and sexually explicit lyrics.

Many hip-hop artists claim to be Christians and still put out music that is offensive to many believers. Eminem's recent spiritual transformation is still unconfirmed at this time.

I rather doubt it.

Jeremiah Wright and Barack Hussein Obama also claim to be Christians.

I hope so. I truly do. Eminem had a rotten childhood, has battled addiction, and dealt with the more seedy aspects of life. From what I hear from the “younger crowd”.. they aren’t pleased with the new Eminem (after an intensive rehab). They want the old Slim Shady back. So, I am imagining there is a change already occurring within himself. As a Christian, I pray he does accept Our Lord. ‘nuff said.

I hope he has, but the cynic in me would bet he’s just looking for some free press exposure.

I need to focus - I thought it said “enema” had converted. Same difference.

He’d need to leave rap.

Shucks. Poor guy. He’s had to battle with too much money and very little talent (unless you call writing lyrics 100% with a rhyming dictionary, talent).

Never thought he had one smidgeon of talent. If he finds meaning in his life that is a good thing. I’ll be impressed when I see corresponding good deeds and kindness to others. After all, the Christian music market is HUGE and largely untapped as far as rap is concerned.

For his sake, I hope it's true. It's all a process.

Being a Christian doesn't magically make us stop sinning. I just hope he can stay with it, that his faith grows more and more every day so that he can do the will of the Father with out being side tracked by sin.

It does take talent to do rap. Not everybody doing rap sells millions of albums each year. He’s known for being clever with his lyrics.

He also is a world class level comic artist. He can pretty much draw in any style available.

Not all rap, and I don’t listen it, is about drugs and violence. He’d certainly have to stop glorifying the bad stuff, if he wants to be sincere in his new path.

So now that he seems to be more interesting, buy and listen to the album. As you listen, search for clues to all kinds of “hidden” meanings and messages. If you think you’ve found clues to any hidden meanings and messages, they may indeed be there but they’re just part of the gimmick that has you playing with your own head while he laughs all the way to an overseas bank account.

There’s plenty of Christian metal bands out there in various subgenres, including death metal.

Probably the most well known Christian metal band is Stryper.

Sunrise is a great band from the Ukraine. Aquaria from Brazil recorded Luxaeterna, a concept album on the creation of the Earth and humanity.

This would be a wonderful thing if true.
He has audience to use his talents.
I would be surprised however if true, it will not be easy for him to change his music......his vulgarity is part of him.
Wish him well.

But I heard Jimmy Swaggert preach a whole sermon on how all the so called Christian music that wasn’t Southern Gospel was of the devil....right before the ad for his new Southern Gospel album.

“born again Christian”

Is there any other kind?

John 3:3

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

John 3: 1-21

Jesus Teaches Nicodemus

3 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]”

4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”[d]

9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.

10 “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? 11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.[e] 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,[f] 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”[g]

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Well, that's between him and his God.
As for me, he is still a low life son of a bitch.
